The Steel Rod is a third rod in the game and can be obtained from smelting 
Iron Ores and 
Coals together into 
Steel Bars then smithing the bars into reels at the anvil inside Smithing Hub in Brightleaf and craft it in Rod Crafting table or bought from the Merchant.
